Day 85

This very moment ...

I am painting my nails. Eating a pink frosted cookie. Enjoying a clean room. Thinking back on a fairly successful Monday. And, oh yeah, listening to this.

The DJ? The one who just sounds like a hipster/Asian/former high school valedictorian/golfer/coolest kid I know/hopefully isn't going to end up like this guy? That's Jeff. He's great.

(Mostly. I said something racist to him once [out of ignorance, not malice] and he made sure to remind me everyday for the next year. And then he only stopped because he moved to New York while I hitched a ride 1,817 miles to the west of him in Utah. But other than that he'd be a pick for someone to re-enact Lost with.)

Anyway, he's one of my all time favorite people and he does this radio show every week and every week he links to it on facebook and every week I wonder what would happen if I clicked the link and so today I finally did and - you guessed it! - I can listen to his show!

I'm not usually one to get hung up on the wonders of technology, but it's sort of amazing to feel like he's sitting in the next room and not two time zones away.

Also, I feel I like I'm publicly admitting to stalking his life. So on the off chance he ever stalks mine, here's a quick note for him:

Right as I began to type this, you were monotonically introducing a twelve minute song you really love and just couldn't quite find the words for. It was almost...moving. The funny thing is the last thing you said was "Hope you love it as much as I do. If not it's going to be a very long twelve minutes." OH. MY. GOSH. I had to mute it. Sorry Jeff. Love you. Hate that song. Want my twelve minutes back. Permission to judge granted.
